There is an online tool where our electrical engineers design the PLC racks for a given job for TIA sytsems. (Equivalent to AB’s Architecture Builder)

After electrical has finalised the design and ordered the components a file can be exported to TIA. This is a .aml file (see attached)
Now run TIA logged in as an TIA Openness user:
This will import the file creating all CPU’s, remote racks and cards.
It is also possible for to export a TIA projects hardware back to the web based selection tool. This may be useful to order critical spares
