Hi All,

Currently I am doing a lot of string manipulation in Excel where I need to strip out the last element from a hierarchy string.

Usually I will save the data as a CSV file and then open it and do the comma delimited thing to get the entries separated in columns and then go and copy the last column in the row which will vary for each row based on the position of the element in the hierarchy.

Found the attached formula that identifies the final delimiter character in the string and then only give you the last element name.

Enjoy
